Impact

PINQ’s commitment to whole child health is
reflected in our focus areas

The COVID-19 pandemic worsened existing care gaps in providing evidence-based care for children. In Ohio, less than half of youth receive their annual well child visit. Behavioral health service utilization has skyrocketed:

  • Nearly 30% drop in Medicaid and CHIP-enrolled children 0-2 years of age who received vaccinations (January to May 2020)

  • 40% decrease in health screenings

  • Nearly 75% reduction in dental services

  • 353% increase in demand for mental and behavioral health services (2013-2019)

  • Additional 70% increase in demand for mental and behavioral health services (2021)

  • Steadily diminishing behavioral health services workforce

PINQ accelerates and expands efforts to eliminate inequities around outcomes and access. Our work centers on:

  • Screening

  • Prevention

  • Implementing evidence-based care

PINQ commits to whole child health through our focus areas. We believe that whole child health stems from health systems using proven clinical approaches focused on earlier identification and intervention.
